My house got repressed last month after a year of
me trying to fight for it, now it’s all gone including my wife
and family, the stress of it all got too much and pushed us all
apart and to top it all off northern rock expects £53,000 of me
,which when speaking to them I said ‘who do I make the cheque
payable to ‘ before I could tell them that I was joking they
started saying make it payable to.......and that’s when I
stopped them and said that I was only joking.
They asked me if I could make any payment to them which I
replied I haven’t even got a pot to piss in, I tried to remind
them of the fact that we are still in a recession and that if
big banks can go under and northern rock can go under then Joe
blogs has got no chance at all. The difference is that the
government bales them out and its us the tax payer that picks up
the bill, so really I own a small part of northern rock.
Anyway terry that is a little bit of my story and I don’t
really know where it’s going to end all I know is my family
comes first and sod everything else, I wish you and your family
all the best and don’t give up mate...

YOUR SITUATION, IM REALLY GLAD YOURE MAKING A STAND AND HOPE YOU ARE
SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR CAMPAIGN.
JUST TO KEEP YOU UP TO SPEED I EVENTUALLY LOST MY HOUSE AND THE MORTGAGE
COMPANY REPOSESSED IT IN FEBRUARY 2009.
HAD AN UPTO DATE VALUATION DONE BY 2 INDEPENDENT VALUERS. IN 2007 MY

WASN`T GIVEN ANY TIME TO DO SO.MY MORTGAGE COMPANY REPOSESSED AND SOLD

I OWED.SO ALL THEY HAVE DONE IS CLEAR THE DEBT TO BALANCE THIER BOOKS
AND BALANCE SHEETS AT THE YEAR END.
I LOST FAITH IN SOLICITORS AS THE BILL WAS GETTING HIGHER AND HIGHER AND
BY THE TIME THEY HAD FINISHED I WOULD BE FACING A LARGE DEBT WHICH I
COULDN`T AFFORD IM STILL PAYING OF MY SOLICITORS FEES EVEN NOW.
I HAVE SUFFERED A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, A SUSPECTED HEART ATTACK, AND
DOUBLE PNEUMONIA.IM NOW LIVING ON BENEFITS AND IN RENTED

TRIED ALL LOCL PAPERS EVEN WROTE TO NATIONAL NEWSPAPERS BUT GOT
NOWHERE.A PROPERTY DEVELOPER HAS BOUGHT THE PROPERTY AND IT IS SITTING
EMPTY,I HAVE SPOKEN TO MY EX NEIGHBOURS AND ALL HE IS DOING IS SITTING
ON IT UNTIL THE MARKET PICKS UP AND IS GOING TO SELL AT A MASSIVE
PROFIT.

Hi Terry,
My heart goes out to you and your family.
I went into mortgage arrears, which is why I am too embarrassed to put
my real name to this posting. I'm sorry. But – my mortgage company were
brilliant – they are Capital Home Loans. They couldn't have been more
supportive, and went out of their way to help us. I'm only telling you
this because I believe they deserve a mention.
I sincerely hope you win your fight against Kingsfords Solicitors - they
sound a truly awful outfit, and I hope that Northern Rock play fair and
give you a chance.
Good Luck with your business. The video 'I will survive' really made me
laugh – I can't stop singing it! |

Hi Terry,
Love the video – I've told all my friends and family to watch it.
I can't begin to imagine what a terrible ordeal you and your family have
suffered over the past seven years. Not many people would have the
courage and tenacity to keep fighting. I admire you Terry.
Please don't give up now. You built a thriving business before and I
know you can do it again. There's a lot of people watching your story.
You have our support – go for it Terry. |

Hey there Terry,
Reading your story allows me to comprehend the resilience of the human
psyche. You are most definitely a fighter and you deserve, more than
most, a positive outcome from your exhausting ordeal. You and your wife
are champions of the people with hearts of gold.
The video is a hoot and a potential #1. God I hope Simon Cowell sees it.
If I can help in any way, you know you only have to ask.
Good Luck and God Bless you |

An
Apology from Terry |
A problem with my email
server occurred just after December 2008. Unfortunately, a large number
of emails sent after this date, by visitors to this site and by viewers
of 'The Repo' Show', were not delivered to my personal email account. I
don't know what happened to them.
I am really sorry but
these emails have been completely lost – I haven't even seen them. Those
of you who wrote to me must think I've been extremely rude as I didn't
reply, but please believe me - it was completely out of my control.
I have a new email
account now, that is tested regularly, so please use the new contact
button to get in touch with me. |

Council official evicted elderly
tenants from bungalows... then moved in herself

As a council official with responsibility for helping the homeless,
Kristine Reeves knows how much people value their homes.
Which makes it difficult to explain how she came to play a key role in
evicting frail and elderly tenants from their bungalows - then moved
into one with her partner.
The £52,000-a-year head of neighbourhood and strategic housing was just
one of 18 council employees who took up residence in former sheltered
accommodation at the Greyhound Opening site in Norwich. Desirable
residence: Council official Kristine Reeves outside the former sheltered
accommodation
She also benefited from the rent at the one-bedroom bungalow she took
over two months ago being reduced from £69 a week to £47.
Similar properties in the area cost between £350 and £750 a month.
Miss Reeves, 38, has now been suspended on full pay
by Labour-run Norwich City Council, which admits conflict of interest
rules were flouted.
Council leader Steve Morphew has promised to 'make good the damage'.
Miss Reeves - who, according to Land Registry documents, bought a
three-storey house worth an estimated £190,000 four years ago - was
dismissive of her new accommodation yesterday.
She said: 'These are not fit-for-purpose units at all. They are really
very cold and you couldn't swing a cat there.'
Some 25 old people were moved out under plans to replace their homes
with 100 high-density flats and houses.
The 18 council officials have now been given a month to move out of the
properties
Rather than hire security to prevent squatters moving in to the empty
bungalows, officials decided to rent them to employees, without
consulting elected councillors.
MIss Reeves moved in with her partner Graham Ross, also a senior housing
official.
Former residents are furious. Widow Ida Hall, 89, said: 'I didn't want
to leave. I liked my little bungalow. It was lovely.'
Simon Wright, LibDem candidate for Norwich South, said: 'It's absolutely
abhorrent that officers involved in a decision to evict elderly, frail
pensioners should then move in at reduced rents.'
After the scandal broke Angela Hadley, the council's
assistant director of neighbourhood development, who herself rented one
of the properties for a time, resigned due to 'severe ill health in her
family'.
Suzanne McBride, co-strategic director for community
and neighbourhoods, has 'left the authority'.
Laura McGillivray, the council's £121,000-a-year chief executive was
said to have been unaware of the scandal.
Miss Reeves and the other occupants have now been
given a month's notice to quit. |
